Central Florida Neuropsychology, CFLN offers mental health services designed to promote healthy minds-bodies and behaviors. Services are totally customized to meet your individual needs.

Many people believe that the only way to address physical and mental health problems is through medication or surgery. In fact, stress and lifestyle issues underlie many physical and mental health problem treatments and can be effectively managed non-pharmaceutically.  For this reason, we offer the best behavioral health services in Florida. Moreover, as David Wilkerson, author of Anatomy of an Epidemic has documented, long-term use of medication can contribute to further physical and mental health difficulties.

Whether you are dealing with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, or PTSD; struggling with cognitive problems such as traumatic brain injury, dementias, or learning disorders or dealing with stress-related physical problems such as chronic pain, hypertension, chronic fatigue, insomnia, or gastrointestinal problems; nonpharmacological approaches can be effective in helping you manage and reduce symptoms. We strive to help you master skills that empower you to maintain a healthier lifestyle and promote improved functioning.

Patient Education

At Central Florida Neuropsychology we partner with our patients to help them learn about their mental health and neurological illnesses so that they can best manage them and lead as full a life as possible. During sessions, your patient liaison may review pertinent interactive educational material with you. Then, from home, you may print out a summary for your own records or to share with family members. Since neuropsychology involves that neurological disorder that affects mental health and those mental health issues that may affect our physical health, we offer two patient education libraries: Mental Health and Neurology.

It is helpful in ruling out malingering, as well as in determining whether reported deficits or those revealed by neuropsychological evaluation correspond to abnormal brain wave patterns.

Clinical studies have demonstrated distinctive forms of electoral activity in the brain in various neurologic and psychiatric conditions including traumatic brain injury, autism, learning disabilities, schizophrenia, PTSD, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder.

QEEG data can be used as a baseline against which to measure benefit from intervention, as well as to guide a program of neurofeedback.
